China Expands RoHS Compliance Catalog: What PCBA Buyers Must Know
SHENZHEN, China – June 22, 2026 – China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has expanded the country's mandatory RoHS compliance catalog from 12 to 33 product categories, effective May 28, 2026.
For PCBA buyers, this means stricter hazardous substance controls on a much wider range of electronics – including industrial washing machines, air purifiers, dishwashers, and microwave ovens.
