PCB panelization refers to the splicing of several small pieces of PCB together to facilitate production. PCB panelization can enable PCB manufacturers to save costs, improve production efficiency, and also facilitate PCBA processing factory to carry out SMT soldering.
It is easy to separate multiple boards when making imposition, so as not to damage the board when separating, and determine which panel to use according to the shape of the single variety of your imposition. There are three main ways of PCB paneling: V-CUT, punching groove and stamp hole.
What are the PCB panelization methods
1. V-CUT
V-CUT means that several boards or the same board can be combined and spliced together, and then after the PCB is processed, a V-shaped groove can be cut between the boards with a V-CUT machine, which can be broken during use. It's one of the more popular ways these days.
2. Punching groove
Punching refers to the hollowing out of the board between the plates or inside the board with a milling machine as needed, which is equivalent to digging.
3. Stamp hole
The so-called stamp is to use a very small hole to link the plate with each other, which looks like the zigzag on the stamp, so it is called the stamp hole link. The stamp hole link is a high control burr all around the plate between the plates, i.e. only one stamp hole can be used instead of the V-line.
